Early Education and Training Center

Introduction

This centre is an early education and training centre funded by Social Welfare Department and governed by Po Leung Kuk. Since 2014, this centre began to provide professional training for children with special needs; our support and coordination help the parents to accept, understand, take care of and train their children with learning difficulties and impaired development. Our objective is to nurture the children’s all-round development and maximize their learning potential, which will help lay a better foundation for the children’s future education and development.


Service Natures

Provide one-to-one individual and group professional training for children with learning difficulties and impaired development. The programmes emphasize on training children and encouraging parents to display children’s learning potential, and give them the best preparation for mainstream education.

Service Characteristics

  • Through cooperation, assist parents to accept and take care of their children who have difficulties in learning and development.
  • With the accompany of parents, the children take part in individual or group education and training, which not only provide training for parents but also stimulate the development of children.
  • The centre provides vocational therapy, physical therapy and speech therapy. Toys and teaching materials are also available for parents to borrow so they can train their children at home.

Eligibility

Disabled children from newborn up to the age of 6 years

Service hours

Monday to Saturday         9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
   

Fee

$148 per year

Application Procedures

We accept referrals from the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Service of Social Welfare Department.
