Through experiential learning of positive education and character cultivation, children and parents will learn skills to build personal resilience that can enable them to bounce back from stress, adversity and challenges, and help them become more confident and independent.
The project is based on the "Train the Trainer" approach. It aims to equip parents and teachers with the necessary skills to enable and support the development of children's resilience.
Family: To increase children's resilience and problem-solving skills through experiential learning, in order to help them become more confident and independent children.
School: To provide teachers with the knowledge, mindset and skills of positive education and teacher-child interaction therapy, in order to facilitate better teacher-child interaction in schools.
Our project is based on Seligman (2012) and Norrish (2013)’s PERMA-H models as the main theoretical framework, with an emphasis on character strengths, resilience and positive education. This program offers experiential learning groups and family coaching sessions that are integrated with elements from Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) and Teacher-Child Interaction Therapy (TCIT) to equip parents and teachers with skills of the 6 elements of psychological well-being and happiness.
