Introduction

This Special Child Care Centre cum Early Education and Training Centre is under Po Leung Kuk and subvented by Social Welfare Department. The centre was established in 2008, and provides professional training and care services to the children with special educational needs or disabilities. Throughout various support and assistance, to help parents to accept and understand how to care and train their children. We aim to enhance the whole person development and empower their potential for a better foundation.

To enhance the whole person development and maximize the potential for disabled children by providing professional training and care services. It aims to lay a good foundation for their education and development needs in the fuure.

Service Characteristics

• The centre provides various training, such as physical, intellectual, sensory, cognitive, communication, social and self care skills for disabled children.
• The centre provides in-depth individual or group training, allied health services include occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and psychological counseling service.

Eligibility

Moderately or severely disabled children from the age of 2 years up to the age of 6 years

Service Hours

Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Weekend activities: Saturday 9:00a.m. - 12:00a.m. (Participate in accordance with need/interest)

Meal Arrangement

We provide various types of nutrition-balanced breakfast, lunch, fruit and afternoon tea treats everyday. No pickled food is offered so the children can grow up more healthily.

Application Procedures

Referrals can be made by social workers or professionals of rehabilitation service units to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services of the Social Welfare Department.
